If you’ve turned on the news in the past five days or seen the latest trending hashtags on Twitter, you will see that Chicago (or #Chiberia) is experiencing some rather extreme weather… even for Chicago. Despite being in the midst of an icy apocalypse and dealing with a partially functional city, my office has been open. Bad weather is one of the only things that leaves us feeling utterly powerless and embittered because there’s no corporeal entity on which to unleash your fury. It’s a “tough luck” situation. So you end up in a collective bitch session with co-workers about your cracking skin, treacherous commute or any other small unrelated daily occurrence that ordinarily wouldn’t be annoying but today it just IS. In the spirit of the snow day, I channeled a pajama theme and wore my extreme-print silk pants which inspired the post below. No, I didn’t actually wear a crop top, tuxedo jacket, cocktail jewelry and clutch to work but the pants, Zara boots and some extras made the cut.
